We are not where we are by luck, or because we haven’t played decent teams or because teams haven’t sussed us out. We showed tonight that we really are the real deal. We slugged it out against a strong, experienced team and came out on top. Some of our control and movement against a really good team was sublime at times. Burgess was immense - so strong and his cross field passes were reminiscence of Town play back in the 70’s!
We really are a good team. I’m pretty confident that we won’t fall away. Top 6 is surely as much a certainty as it can ever be at this point in the season. We’re not going to drop away to 1point a game are we! |  |

The thing that I loved seeing more than anything, and I mentioned it earlier, was when Hdlaky made the mistake for the goal.
Now, was there pointing, remonstrating etc between the players? No, the defenders went up to Hdlaky, patted him on the back, geed him up, got on with it and continued to show confidence in him and trust the process of how we play it from the back. As if to say, it's ok, we'll just score 2 at the other end.

Yup, I said exactly the same thing to the missus at the time. I can't think of a similar goal scored against us in the last year tbh. To play from the back as we do it's to be expected that we'd give the opposition a few goals each season from mistakes but to date it's been actioned with aplomb. |  | | |

Was always going to happen at some point and the key thing was that it didn't change the mentality of the defensive unit one jot - they still trusted Vaz with the ball in tight spots and Vaz backed himself to play out instead of humping it long.
There's a confidence and belief to this team that will take more than one bad pass to shake. |  | | |
