Much like the higher ranked teams use matches like this to try out younger players etc. I wonder whether the top refs use low-key FA Cip matches like this to try out new tactics such as positioning etc?

Probably use it to wear in a new pair of contact lenses or test out the effect of eating a vindaloo straight before the match. Maybe even both at once!
