Absolute farce of a division. As a boxing fan I've never been so disinterested in the sport as I have been lately. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/67899528

Whilst I agree with your general point, this fight in isolation has the potential to be a quite interesting contest. I wouldn’t bet my house on Joshua.

About his level, isn't it? If you're expecting a fight with Fury, it would be a complete mismatch. Having said that, Ngannou proved he's not unbeatable, but I dont think Fury prepared for that fight as well as he could have.
Fury Usyk is the one that should be made.

What's happening with American boxers? They used to dominate.

I've never rated AJ so yes he could easily get beaten but it is a disgrace that someone who has only had 1 professional bout could win this and then would almost definitely get a chance at the world title over someone who has fought their way up the rankings. Imagine what the likes of Fabio Wardley et al must think. Yes I know it's about money but the likes of AJ are rich enough to say no to fighting in Saudi Arabia and remembering who came to watch them when they were reaching the top.

1. Middleweight, and divisions adjacent to it, has always been where the most skillful fighters are to be found, and most incredible fights to be seen. (Although Fury has had some fights which deserve ranking amongst the best of all time.

2. Ngannou has earned a shot against a ranked heavyweight through his performance against Fury, from what I have read.

3. How is it different from Mayweather v McGregor?

4. It's part of the Saudi Sports washing Series, so I won't be watching it (which is why I have only read about Fury v Ngannou, not that I would have paid to watch an "Exhibition Match", anyway, even if it had been held in London).

5. Joshua is third or fourth in the world, now. If they can't get the Title shot, fighters who are too dangerous for up-and-coming boxers with real potential can only try and find match ups that might stimulate a bit of public interest.

6. This isn't very different from the parade of over 40s former champs who lumbered around the circuit in the 1990s and early 2000s. 52 year old Larry Holmes v Eric "Butterbean" Esch, for example.

There is only one fight at Heavyweight that everyone wants to see. Everything else is hype and needs an angle to shift PPV tickets.

Fabio has a way to go before he is ready. Id rather he gets his chance at the peak of his powers than getting beat now and not getting another shot. His time will come.

Snap. I'm hoping the money builds on Joshua and I can get a tasty Ngannou price nearer the time.

Yes, very much so. Ngannou isn't a boxer. He did better than expected against Fury because Fury turned up having barely trained and expected to just breeze through the fight. AJ lives the life a lot more than Fury does and won't be so unprepared, he'll win this very easily.

He decked him pretty much every time he landed something solid. Ngannou couldn't avoid the big right hand because he's not a professional boxer. Last night was actually deeply irresponsible, people bought into the notion that because an out of shape, unprepared Fury - who isn't really much of a puncher - carried Ngannou through ta full 10 rounds that Ngannou was somehow a legit heavyweight boxer. You can see it on this thread with people saying they think Ngannou could win, when the reality is he was always going to get flattened and could have got really badly hurt. This is why you don't let people with no amateur or professional boxing experience mix with elite level boxers who are actually taking the fight seriously. Really hope this is the end of all the crossover b0llocks.

Joshua probably could have caught him again on the way down, but he didn’t, but he did make it clear on what his thoughts were, straight in for the kill, to show people, exactly like you say, people
Like ngannou shouldn’t be getting in the ring. He was so open for that punch, I could have landed it.

In the 60s and 70s we was spoilt Ali Frazier, Forman, Norton, Lyle etc
They all fought each other heavyweight boxing in the USA no real black hungry heavyweights anymore. I prefer the weights like what Terrance Crawford fights at proper fights today its just money money you tubers etc

It wasn't really.
Zhang ran out of steam very early. He hit Parker with a couple of good ones but had virtually nothing else.
Parker was busy and aggressive but nervous of being in hitting distance ( obvs )
Not a great fight.
