Can anyone else see 4321 formation next season? 14:04 - May 31 with 1496 viewscbower

At least for some games. I'm a liitle concerned that 4231 might see us overrun in the centre of the park. If KMc still wants Davis bombing on with a RB also making runs on the overlap, with only 2 midfielders would we be asking for problems?

Yes, and with Jack Taylor (or similar type) in the three you have the mobility and fitness to have him join as a 10 more quickly and frequently too. So maybe it's a 4-2½-2½-1. He-he!

I think we're quite flexible, could see Jack Taylor as a 10 as suggested. I wonder if there might be times where Wes Burns goes back to more of the RWB role and Tuanzabe/Clarke shift more inside. This is before we've made any new signings of course!

Also a fractional number in defence where the hybrid right back/centre back makes us a bit of a back 3 1/2. So 3.5/2.5/3/1? Leif’s 0.5 in defence and left wing and Taylor is 0.5 in the number 10 and the deep midfield. Simple

I actually think we’ve got such a smart versatile system that it’ll not change much/if at all.

Your last sentence sums it up quite well.

There are always little tweaks based on the opposition but we don't tend to change formation as such. No matter what happens we are going to concede goals in this league.

I think we just stick to it, attack, attack, attack and just goes balls out.

We have one of the fittest teams probably in European football and relentless on the attack and the press. I think we stick with that and just harass and attack as much as we can. Burns and Davis flying down the wings, pining back other full backs and wingers is making me dribble.

I think we'll be one of the fittest teams in the PL next season.

Currently have fewer internationals than most teams, so pretty much the whole squad will have a full pre-season, we'll be able to use international breaks to our advantage and obviously no European football to think about.
