Funny 11:20 - Jun 9 with 1724 views | cressi | Every time we get linked with a player who played against us people jump on here and say they were great against us. God knows how we came second playing against these top players. Over a whole season I probably only noticed 3 or 4 players who I thought they were useful and may improve us. As I'm usually concentrating on Ipswich players most of the time.

Where we’ve gone wrong over the last 30 years is only having one Dutch player. We need two to arrive at the same time. Maybe FC Twente have got a maestro and a busy body knocking around that we could get on a BOGOF deal.

Funny on 11:48 - Jun 9 with 1585 views | Churchman | I too concentrate on my team. I didn’t notice Downes was playing against us until the mush next to me mentioned it during the second half. The Leeds front people stood out, Whittaker, Philogene on tv (couldn’t attend either game) and the lad at QPR who terrorised us in the away game. Oh and Dewsbury-fallalot. Struggling beyond that.

I'd be happy with one, two, three or however many Dutchmen. However, as for arriving at the same time: for every Thijssen and Muhren there's a Graaven and Abidallah!

We wouldn't want one to be our version of Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

That's very true of course a d I admit I am one Town fan that usually reads about the team we are playing and which ones are the ones to watch ! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Funny on 18:01 - Jun 9 with 1112 views | CopfordBlue | Agreed. They’ve got to be really special for me to notice them. Ivan Toney for Peterborough just before lockdown is one of the few from recent seasons that stood out. It will be different next season, not necessarily because opposition players will stand out but because a lot of them will be familiar to us all. Same with managers - I couldn’t tell you who managed at least half of the teams we’ve played in the last 10 years.

Funny on 19:27 - Jun 9 with 1017 views | Nutkins_Return | This is an odd post. Some people enjoy analysing players and opposition and watching the game as a whole. Some people, perfectly understandably, just watch a game through an Ipswich lens. Not sure why it's funny or odd that some can draw opinions on opposition players. Even poor champ teams have quality players (e.g. chair at QPR). Nothing weird about beating teams who had individuals playing really well against us. There are 11 in the pitch...
