Ran a fantastic campaign. Did loads of silly stunts but got himself and the Lib Dems noticed. Plus each stunt had an important message behind it.

Well played.

And from the interviews with him I saw, I thought he came across as a more genuine person than Sunak and Starmer.

Wasn’t that based on the evidence that he was presented with by the Post Office? He maintains that he was misled.

It was entirely irrelevant who was in charge of the Liberal Democrats. People were looking to punish the Conservatives and there was no enthusiasm for Labour so people who remember Paddy Ashdown who was sensible and the extremists who want to reverse Brexit voted for the Lib Dems, but the vote will go down next time when there isn't so much distain for the Conservatives.

Let's get PR and see how many LD voters vote tactically elsewhere. Clearly there is sizable support for them, because the main two parties don't have the confidence to have a fair election.

This. I know plenty of people who would have been very tempted by Lib Dem or Greens if we weren't voting tactically (although I must admit to being really impressed by Jack Abbott)
