I got tear gassed coming out of the stadium as German, English and Italian hoolies went for it. Mate drove home from Turin through the night and in Northern France we picked up English radio.

I watched it in Spuds which was on what is now the waterfront. At the time I think it was just Spuds and and Malt Kiln (which is now Isaacs)
Spuds had sand on the floor and surf boards as tables.
