Give Muric a run of games before making a fair judgement. Got to say, I was surprised Muric started, Walton played well last week against Liverpool, personally I’d have stuck with him, he deserved to start today whether Muric was fit or not.

I was surprised muric started as he's not trained much. But when is the best time to give him a debut? Throw him in so he witnesses the speed of a high press at its worse or against afc Wimbledon when you Learn nothing. He clearly learnt from those mistakes as he went long more after. That's all we can ask. You play. You learn you move on.

Walton deserved to play after last week’s display. For me, Muric would have to wait for his chance. KM did this with Hladky last season, he came in and played well, kept the shirt and Walton remained on the bench, apart from cup games. Personally, I don’t feel he deserved dropping after his Liverpool performance.

Agree with this, and although I think he's a good keeper and welcomed the signing imo he hasn't got as good close control/short passing as Hladky. It's his longer range passing that stands out. I think if this wasn't a one off and he continues to not look comfortable/costs points we'll adjust how we play slightly.

Completely, they don’t learn. This happens so often. Don’t judge simply after one game, against a top team like City and also club Muric started his career at, he was bound to be nervous. I’d have still stated Walton though.

Difference for me there is hladky was signed for the championship so we had two championship keepers. We've signed muric to be a prem keeper. You don't spend £10 mill on a keeper and not play him other than if it was for the reason I said.. training time. Walton did a solid job. But he is back up keeper.

Walton showed last week that he coped well against Liverpool, £10m spent on Muric, Walton’s display deserved the opportunity to start today.

It’s easy to forget that the game is much faster in the PL. Hladky got found out in the Championship second half of the season more than once and he wasn’t playing against Haaland. I’m not a fan of messing about at the back and that horror is down to him though. Let’s hope he learns from it. KM likes this way of playing out and as far as I’m concerned, he knows best.

One of Daniel Farke's letters of apology incoming for that penalty shout. Pretty inexcusable.

Just listened to Kierans interview and he put that 2nd goal down to poor game management. At 1-1 and City coming onto us, probably better to keep it simple for a few minutes rather than 'play'.

I suspect it's an issue with his 'head going' in the light of that thing he did last season when he went all Gunn with that back pass. We have to trust KM with all this but it has to be in the back of our minds. I can't imagine what Walton is thinking ( and the defence - Greaves had his head in his hands )

Don't think anyone was 'writing him off' tbf, just highlighting his dreadful performance today. But it's great to criticise an over reaction with another over reaction.
