(Stupid thing to say I know, because firstly he’s brightons, and second of all he’s brightons)… but if we had Danny welbeck he’d be the final piece of the jigsaw that pulls our attack together. Such a good player.
It really frustrates me that we didn’t manage to get in an experienced centre forward, our boys in attack are crying out for that. [Post edited 22 Sep 2024 15:07]

Such a difficult one, though. I think we tried really hard to recruit in that position, but you can't force a club to accept a fee, or a decent Prem-quality striker to join a (perceived relegation favourite) club,.or for a player to buy in to what KMc tells him is the ethos and the vision. Plus find the right character in that player that boot.
I think it was a bridge too far, given the circumstances. It could well come me back to bite us, but that's life. |  | | |
