Just disqualified from being a trustee of a charity for ten years. They brought shame on the memory of Captain Tom.

They should be thrown in jail and all their assets seized. It’s was donated money they ‘repurposed’. They knew exactly what they were doing and how they could steal like that and look themselves in the mirror is quite beyond me.

They had the opportunity to do so much good and create a real legacy that would have been a true tribute to Tom’s wishes and actions but no. Their interests came first and they stole. Scum.

Not sure that their political affiliation (whatever it is) has anything to do with this as I’m sure that there are plenty of left-leaning people who lack common decency as well.

The trouble with posts like yours is that they usually make the person posting it look rather silly.

So what you are saying is that there are immoral people across the whole political spectrum and in fact society as a whole.

Is Colin Ingram-Moore by any chance related to Millionaire cheat Major Charles Ingram?

Unless the Internet is telling me porky pies, Charles Ingram is her brother-in-law.

Can you imagine playing Monopoly with that family? It’ll be an absolute nightmare.

As they haven't been found to have done anything illegal, then they won't.

The article does suggest that there's a hint of possible wrongdoing, though:

Mr Holdsworth urged the Ingram-Moores to "follow through on the commitment that was made and donate a substantial amount to the charity".

He said it was up to the remaining trustee whether to take legal action and the Commission "stood ready to provide advice as they considered that".

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Captain Tom Foundation said it was "pleased with the Charity Commission’s unequivocal findings regarding the Ingram-Moores’ misconduct".

"We join The Charity Commission in imploring the Ingram-Moores to rectify matters by returning the funds due to the Foundation, so that they can be donated to well-deserving charities as intended by the late Captain Sir Tom Moore.

"We hope they do so immediately and without the need for further action", the spokesperson added.

All charities employ people and their wages need to be paid, but a Million is a bit much !

I remember a few years back we had the RSPCA come round collecting,so I offered the chap a fiver,he said ‘what is that for’ I replied’the poor animals’. He then went on to tell me he didn’t want cash,he wanted me to set up a DD and pay them monthly.I didn’t do it.

It’s not true. I can only find one tweet from some random bloke n(or blokess) on twitter claiming this and the replies suggest it’s bollox. No other mentions in Google.

Which is a shame as that would be an excellent question on a pub quiz.

I still think they should've let that bloke get away with it. Class.
