I thought O'Shea and Greaves were brilliant tonight. Greaves is a clear upgrade on Burgess as much as Burgess has done nothing wrong. Just different levels.
Greaves slipped. It was absolutely costly but it was a slip FFS. |  |

I'm also torn on that one. Greaves put in some superb performances before he got injured. I'd love to see a settled CB pairing of Greaves and O'Shea play for a few games before I decide on JG vs CB. It is Greaves' first match back, to be fair. [Post edited 3 Dec 2024 21:29]

Game of opinions, eh?
I thought him and O’Shea had developed a nice balance over recent weeks and felt like that was missing a bit today - Greaves and Dara looked a little more like they’d not played together much (understandably) and so it felt like we were moving the ball that bit slower as we tried to build from the back, which meant we never really had much joy with pulling Palace out of position.
Far from our only issue today, but one that stuck out to me. Think Cam’s been excellent last few games so really harsh to drop out of the team (unless he’s got a knock or something, of course). | |

Wasn't quite a slip. He didn't keep eye on the ball and got done by a dropped shoulder. Similar to delap v villa. |  |

Slips and stumbles.
First game back and he played great. Like he hadn't been away. He is at fault for the goal in that he didn't stop Mateta but in my opinion he's unlucky with it at the same time.
He looks top quality to me. Him and O'Shea will be a fantastic partnership.
Whether we can improve enough as a team between now and end of season remains to be seen. | |
