Morning, well afternoon, after thoughts 14:21 - Dec 4 with 1124 views | Keno | Firstly call me mad or stupid or both. I dont know how or why but I still feel we'll stay up but if we dont this season was always going to be stretch, after all 2 years ago we changing in a portakabin in Accrington. The plan is we will become an established premier league team and no matter what this season we are still on track to achieve that, just we got to that league well ahead of schedule and the squad to having to catch up. If we stay up we can strengthen, if we dont stay up we can regroup with a better squad than 2 years ago and a shet load of cash that the owners wouldnt have budgeted for and we go again. The teams that have established themselves in the prem that we aspire to br like havent all come up from league one and stayed in the prem in one go. so frankly I''m going to try and still chilled, thank my lucky stars I'm not a Narwich fan and remember the future bright, the futures blue and I love Town!!!

Morning, well afternoon, after thoughts on 14:49 - Dec 4 with 1005 views | smithy91 | We have had as many good performances and reasonable results as bad ones. Liverpool- a reasonable fight against a title challenger Fulham- Good performance, v unlucky to not get the win Brighton- excellent away pt Villa- excellent home performance, unlucky not to win Brentford- Dominant 40 mins, calamitous error cost us a more than deserved draw Leicester- Better team, calamitous refereeing Spurs- First win etc Utd- another excellent performance vs a european challenger, unlucky not to win To me the common theme against our win column is sloppy goals/calamitous errors and refereeing. A few outstanding chances/saves too ,but benefit of the doubt to the keepers at this level. One thing about recent weeks, is the defence has tightened and sloppy errors have been cut out. But we are now struggling to score. I do think we are partly struggling with the attacking 3 changes- at this level how many teams regularly change the front 3/4 players?? I sincerely hope KM looks back at the past few games and decides to start the front 4 as follows, when fit Hutch Chaplin Smod/Broadhead Delap This selection has coincided with some of the best performances in the past 7/8 games. I think the issue with our changes on the front 4, is that the pieces we miss are breaking up our flow. I think McKenna ideally wants: Szmodics/Clarke/Broady Omari/Chaplin/Broady Ogbene/Burns/Johnson Delap/Hirst/AAH Losing Ogbene and Johnson means Burns either plays the 90 and is gassed or Omari has to shift over. However he's shifting over having played the full 90 because he's our main option for the 10 as well. Luckily he's really fit and seems as deadly in the 90th as the 9th minute, but still not ideal. Then up top, the gap between Delap and Hirst is made up for by the fact Hirst could run like a mad man for 30 minutes against tiring defences. Yes AAH can, but he's a further step down in quality. Obviously still decent and looked a handful against Palace in his short cameo. However I think it's telling that AAH comes on later than Hirst seemed to previously (although I'm sure someone can bring up stats that mean it's all in my head). In essence, we are running Delap longer and harder, plus we're lacking the ability to actually rotate all 4 front men now as we need Omari to stay on the pitch the full 90.

Think the common theme might be more that we struggle against big, physical, technically savvy teams such as Palace, Everton, Forest. We struggled quite often against those sort of teams in L1 (well big and physical). Someone else said it was a bit men against boys and when you looked at the team towards the end it had that feel (Chappers and a knackered Omari). Obviously missing Axel, GH, Phillips doesn't help. Hopefully Bournemouth fall more into the Brentford/Fulham category and we can turn this mini-slump around quickly. Guess we'll see... Its vital we get some more points on the board this month and then be smart in the Jan window.
Morning, well afternoon, after thoughts on 15:17 - Dec 4 with 865 views | FrimleyBlue | Think it just depends on this month Keno At the moment, 4th bottom is only a win away, IF that gets to 3/4 wins, then we have a problem as we'll be needing a long run of wins in a row, which is rare for a side battling relegation just to get level and keep winning to hopefully overtake them. Kinda why results like last night, if you dont win it, you can't lose it, so it is annoying.

We need to win 2 of our next 3 matches so we end 2024 on 15 points from 19 games (I'm writing off Arsenal and Chelsea). That will give us a decent chance of finishing the season on 35+ points, which may be enough to stay up.
