0/9 16:03 - Dec 8 with 704 views | Mullet | More fine margins than WH Smith’s or not, this week has killed us. Squad is far too thin and mentality seems to have gone. Focus, subs, decision making etc just not there today and had we gone 2-0 up we are talking about a different game and a different season potentially. There are hundreds of things we can lay at the officiating, but ultimately we can’t abdicate responsibility ourselves either. 1 win or 3 draws this week completely changes the table and the momentum. Makes it all the worse to come from one of the scummiest clubs in football.

However, why the refusal to change the system to suit the state of the game? 1-0 up on 70 ish for me it was crying out for another midfielder to shore it up. Phillips and / or Cajuste, go with 3 in midfield. Jack Clarke was the last player we needed on the pitch when changes were made. I can under Al-Hamadi, Delap is goosed. We all love McKenna but I sense some inflexibilty at times. Even when we're chasing a game like tge last two, the thought of going 2 up top never seems to be an option. Perhaps he feels his options are limited but today his use of subs was a bit odd.

There’s no reason we can’t get in the right side of these fine margins with bit more quality. Staying up from here is certainly going to be a long shot whoever comes in.

You can’t hope for much when AAH is your change option, redoubtable chap he surely is. Also injuries haven’t helped us. I hope next time we flirt with the Prem we will sign at least a couple of perm players who know the league and have solid experience.

Said on other threads that it feels like KM has become uncharacteristically inflexible this season compared with the previous two. I find that baffling - flexibility & the ability to swiftly shake things up was previously one of his biggest fortes, often giving us the advantage.
