Achilleus Security 18:32 - Feb 23 with 3712 views | Zx1988 | Just a minor thought I had, looking at their hoardings all over the North Stand yesterday... Surely there are better names for a security firm, than to name it after a chap from antiquity who will forever be a byword for a catastrophic weak-spot?

Achilleus Security on 20:36 - Feb 23 with 2935 views | viewfromtheu2 | Interesting appointment, would be interested what in the way of "due dilligence" aka vetting the club has done. Having had a quick look at HMRC, the director has had numerous businesses struck off, mostly through failure to file paperwork on time and several more go into administration, in one case owing £100K+. The classic practice of running a company poorly, owing creditors money then starting afresh. I suspect this is not uncommon in the security industry. At best, they're run by serially unsuccesful business people. At worst, who knows. Watch this space [Post edited 23 Feb 20:39]

Hopefully the club got cash up front. After the 8xBet shenanigans, we probably have a decent idea of the level of due diligence the club undertakes on anyone approaching them with a fistful of money in return of a sponsorship.

At least they didn't change the name of the stand to a sponsor name. There is more and more advertising in football these days. I just hope we don't add to the LED boards. The ones are Man City today on TV look horrendous. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

You'd think...if I can find all this out within 30 minutes then a team with access to far more than just the world wide web ought to. Ought!

Talking of dodgy sponsors, I've not seen anything of Tismo Geneve during the last couple of matches. Have they gone for a completely unexpected Burton, and taken their printed-photo-of-a-watch-POTM-awards with them?

Not sure but they tend to do alot of short term sponsors and "one off" deals for events and such like.

Four current appointments, three of which appear to be pending liquidation/strike-off hardly screams stability.

Achilleus Security on 23:11 - Feb 23 with 2336 views | BluJu | I thought it poor that they chose to cover about 60 seat in NS lower with 2 branded banners that could barely be read from afar anyway. Circa 60 people unable to buy tickets because of some piss poor advertising. [Post edited 23 Feb 23:11]

Unless I've missed something, weren't those just the seats that are always covered anyway? The ones at the front of the stand they cover because if people stood there, it'd obstruct the disabled section's view?

I did the same this morning and came on here to report back, glad someone else took a look. Achilleus Security (London) Ltd Owner is one Mario Garcia Entered into a voluntary liquidation, unsure why, doesn't see hugely benefical from a personal point of view based on balance sheet. Knightshield Ltd Compulsory strike off due to non-compliance...one assumes never traded. Achilleus Security Management Ltd Him and his missus, him being the main man. Think this should be the main entity you'd hope the club is dealing with. 287 employees, bought some items off the London entity, balance sheet jumped from £38k to £150k, so clearly some rapid growth there. AS (South) compulsory strike off (which has been objected to), probably dormant, no biggie. Training co Dormant again, no filing. This guy is probably one of those who'll just keep going until he strikes gold, you get a feel for them, fail, try again, fail, try again...then, they get lucky (make your own luck)
