Bloke saw me in my suit and school lanyard and came striding towards me. Demanded to know if I was the manager and what I could do about something out of stock. He thought I was the manager it seemed.
Poor fella looked so embarrassed when I showed him my ID badge and said I was just trying to sort my tea out. He tried to laugh it off but was clearly wanting the ground to swallow him up. I couldn’t help him find what he was looking for either as it was the veg aisle, not electronics.
I used to get it when I worked in retail years ago, if you went in a shop on your break and people saw the uniform, they’d just assume it was for the shop you were in. Never had it when dressed like a grown up though.
