Surely the answer is '50% chance of Portman Rod, 50% chance of an away game'.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I was going to go with in the Championship ... hopefully promoted, though.

It's a prediction, it's not a wish list.

More than half of this fanbase thought we'd stay up at the half way point of the season. Predicting requires objectivity not blind optimism.

I don't think we'll go down. I'm confident we'll be top 6. But we have fewer points than Luton got, having spent over £100m and they are heading straight to league one. It's not impossible.

People are entitled to their opinions, but those who think we have a God given right not to be relegated to League 1 are just entitled. Oh, and they have short memories.

Have you not seen our now squad compared to that squad.
We can afford to lose 3 or 4 from the starting X1 and still have a very strong squad. We will without doubt strengthen the midfield and forward options, so we will be strong. To say the predict relegation is just laughable.
It's not entitlement, just purely from a squad perspective.

As I say, I think we will be comfortably in the top six. But I don't think any of the opinions expressed are laughable.

If our squad is so very much better than Luton's, have we done worse than them because of terrible coaching (personally I think not), or because the referees are all corrupt as some would have us believe (personally I think not)? The more reasonable conclusion is that our squad is not a lot better than theirs was.

Our results against the other relegated teams this season, and our results in 2025 more broadly, are not madly encouraging. Neither is our 'barn door with a banjo' index right now.
