Actually I thought Chaplin and Broadhead made a big difference. Nobody else in the team can find space like Broadhead. Trouble is, like last season, we need the other players to spot when he has found space and pass to him.

I thought Broady was fairly ineffective tbh. I think the bigger game changer was the fact that Brum took off all their attacking threats and tried to play for a 1-0, which allowed us to get a foothold in the game |  |

The fact they were unable to beat us, and spent so much of their time trying to nullify our threat is good. Our performance was not good, but I think we would have lost that game in 23/24, mentally we are much stronger than we were 2 years ago.
We won’t come up against much physically stronger defences and midfield in this division this season.

It helped that they came on just as Birmingham were tiring and cramping, there was more space for these guys to exploit than there had been as a result. | | | |

I disagree. Mentally we were stronger in 23/24 as we were a team rather than a group of individuals. We may have lost due to quality, but not because of mental strength. | |
