All a bit meh aren't they, other than Cajuste of course.

What else do we need? A CB to replace Woolfie and a striker to challenge Hirst?

RIP Sir Bobby

We absolutely haven’t ’attacked The market’ as of yet.

Meh?

Azor, give him 2 years and he'll be touted in the media as towns version of Makelele, he's a beautiful footballer and once he gets up to speed with the English football, he'll go down as towns best ever signing.

a niche perspective

Definitely think Young, Akpom and Matusiwa are bit more than meh!

People also seemed pretty chuffed with Kipre at the time

Weird

Azor should end up a better player than Morsy. Akpom is the striker to challenge Hirst. Young good in theory plus hopefully a big help in the dressing room. Kipre is solid. McAteer useful.

Seems ok to me. We need another CM and I’ll be gutted if Woolfie goes.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Not seen much of Akpom.
Matusiwa will hopefully improve with time.
Young is a decent back up.
Kipre not seen either, but also only back up.

But yeah all a bit.... meh.

RIP Sir Bobby

Not the 1st player to come to mind when I think 'beautiful footballer' to be fair! Definitely can be effective in that role though.

As for the OP, a CM is still top of the list Shirley?

Ha, good point, meant beautiful as in the dm role, the battles, ball movement, passing etc, he has the ingredients of doing it all. Absolutely can;t wait to see his progression with town.

Fair enough, not sure what more we could expect from a back up striker/forward than the championship golden boot winner in 22/23 but there's clearly no pleasing some. Meh indeed

I liked his work out of possession against Southampton, looks that enforcer we need in there. Bit of a sh1thouse as well which is nice to see, and up for the scrap. Turned the ball over his fair share of times as well. A bit rusty in possession but I'm sure that will come in time, he's probably had 2 of the toughest games to get acquainted with the Championship, hopefully over the next few he'll be able to get his foot on the ball a little more.

Not really. Cajuste, Akpom, Matusiwa all excellent. Young and Kipre very happy and make perfect sense. Button is a 3rd choice keeper/coaching addition so. I problem.

The business we have done is fine. The only issue is the gaps left which we will see.

Mcateer is ok but certainly a big overspend for his ability but squad wise is decent.

If we can get 2-3 really high quality and more like the first 3 named above we are in a good place.

I love this. Clearly does have quality and potential, and will be a great signing.

Two years. In the context of our best 7 leaving and replaced by mostly loans, I’m not sure even if you’re right, Azor MOTM against cookies Chesterfield is exactly what promotion to the premier league should have given us the platform for.

Sad thing.., I make you right.

Two years for the only player we have permanently for CDM to peak.

I hate the opposite of elite level strategic planning?

Chaos. 27 inside forwards though.., that’s a lot of ball he needs to win, he needs to be Kante on steroids.
