I'd be welcome to James as he's a decent young player but not sure where he'd fit? He'd essentially be 3rd choice for the partner of Matusiwa. Really need a player who can come in to be second choice / competition for that number 6 position. | | | |

If he's available for the fee Rennes paid for him (£3-4m) it would be a decent pickup and upgrade on Taylor though.. However think he'll go to Wrexham for more guaranteed minutes.

You'd think the clubs who are maybe going to take players are going to need an answer very soon as they fill up their squads. I guess the lower down the food chain down to L2, the later you know what you've ended up with. Good for the players in the lower leagues that the National League has later deadlines, (I think they do at least.)

The thing I don't get - if it's true - is we were reportedly still interested in him and he was planning to come here at the weekend to discuss further. This was Wednesday morning; the Nunez deal must have progressed quite a way by that point. | |
