i never been convinced he's the style of player that we needed either for the double pivot.
Pre premier league we had the most success with 2 ball winners, who could progress the ball to the technical players.
Or as we seem to be evolving to a ball winner and a ball player.
Brownhil has always looked to me to be a box to box player, of course he could have evolved into our style but not sold that he wouild have suited us. |  | | |

For 4/5 years he’s been yo-yoing with Burnley… I’m not surprised he’s just said fck it and gone for the money instead of yo-yoing with us/Leicester etc must be pretty frustrating to be on loop like that. |  |

Was always likely to be the case given he walked away from Premier League football with Burnley and the reported signing on fee he was looking for.
Honestly I'm not sure I blame him. Clearly been earning good money in his career but he's already played in the premier league, he's 29 now and this will be his last (and first) properly silly pay day. He'll probably earn more in the next 24 months than he has in the past 10 years, and I can't really blame him tbh. |  | | |

Unlikely, that would be way out of kilter with the rest of the squad.
