Rug well and truly pulled from under feet.

Junior is living with someone now in her third year that was planning on teaching geography who will now not be able to pay the rent next year and will have to return to living at home.

I think Starmer has been excellent on international issues but hugely disappointing at home. Like to get worse with the budget from one trick Reeves to come as well.

That’s how I feel too, but I don’t know whether either of us are right. I think a lot of the discontent with Labour is because people have projected expectations onto them. But those expectations were never promised (silly us, expecting them to behave like a Labour government). When you look at the promises they actually made, they’re mostly delivering - https://fullfact.org/governmen

Experienced English teachers can't get work because it's cheaper to employ someone more recently qualified...it's a race to the bottom based on finance, sound familiar?

Only if the change is made after the offer, I don’t think that is the case in this scenario. This applies to future years from 26-27.
