Yes, this goes much wider than 40 people on TWTD as someone rather cynically put it.

Indeed, my five friends who don't post on TWTD have all written an email to the club about it. And I don't plan to continue wearing my Ipswich shirt to my gym in Kent any time soon just because of the reaction you mention.

‘I always thought Ipswich were so much classier than this’ was a message I had from a friend in Devon.

Yeah mate, so did I.

Mad that 2 years ago the momentum was so good, everyone wanted us to do the back to backs, pip Leeds. I’ve never had as many well wishes from non town fans. Now we’re perceived as Farage’s team.

Some people will think it’s a big overreaction and they’re welcome to. Personally I can’t stomach it.

Shame on those in charge.

I've had messages from friends and colleagues who don't support Town questioning why my club has done this. These are people that would normally have only a passing interest or awareness of us. It's an embarrassment. This should not have happened. I don't remember the last time I felt this disappointed and embarrassed with the club. I will not be wearing town colours for a while. I despise everything Farage stands for and currently it would appear that my club is happy to be associated with him.

Wouldn’t mind but most of them were city fans ffs

I’ve made it clear they can have that one, but the next one gets a throat punch and I’ll take the meeting with HR

Contacted by my Man United, Spurs, PNE, Cambridge and Chelsea supporting mates to say they same, they are all having a great time posting memes about Reform FC.

Gotta laugh or else you will cry and all that.

Some people obviously don't mind that association. I do.

I've been mocked by an MK fan. MK for feck sake.

When that lot have the moral high ground, you know it's bad.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.
