So we're not talking about the women's match at Portman Road tomorrow? 13:24 - Mar 27 with 1665 viewsBeachBlue

Disappointed that it's barely been mentioned on TWTD.

Could it be because a lot of people just don’t care that much?

I've decided.... on 13:28 - Mar 27 with 1343 viewsBloots

....to boycott it.

I feel that boycotting one match is necessary given what's happened this week.

Then we can move on.

This.

Don’t think the uptake has been as good as they had hoped for either.

Been giving a 100 free tickets to local schools.

I feel for that level of football

If we could get into the top league, at that point it might take off a lot lot better, but you really do need to see the Arsenal's, Chelsea ladies etc for crowds and interest to rise.

Why are you disappointed? You haven't mentioned or posted about them this year apart from mentioning Natasha Thomas as someone you've watched and want to be in the same room as.

How many people genuinely care? The quality is probably poorer than the eighth tier of the men’s game. This week alone seen the arsenal keeper get lobbed on her own goal line

Did that the last 2 years tbf. Crowd likely to be similar to last year, maybe just a shade Down.

Hmm, interesting thread.

People have been posting for days what the club stands for, and how association with Farage undermines that (which of course it does), then we have several people posting comments undermining the importance of the women's' team and game. Ironic.

BTW, I'll be there on Saturday, supporting the girls.

I don't think they are undermining women's football - they're just not fans of it.

You're conflating issues that are clearly separate.

Downplaying the women's game is not separate at all - and several posters have done precisely that. Do you not see the irony in that?

Everyone has the right to decide if they go to the game to support the women's team of our club and community, but why not say nothing rather than try to belittle their efforts.

Because the overall standard of women’s football is dire. Seen far better levels of skill at a much lower level of the men’s game. I’d rather go see a local game to me on the local park than watch that.

Nobody has started a thread to belittle the efforts of the women.

The OP asked a question, which people have replied to.

Why do you feel for it? Its a product that's improving, its well publicised in the main on major sites like BBC Sport, and these players are getting to play in some amazing stadiums.

There's no lack of opportunity to go and watch it. Its cheaper to watch our women at PR tomorrow than it is to go to Cineworld down the road. Even the hospitality tickets start from £15.

I'd say they've got it pretty good.

Inclusivity means exactly that across the board, not just the right of certain people who exist in an echo chamber to choose who’s allowed to join in.
