The original is so very important and special to me as it will also be to many.. I’ve managed to avoid initially purposely and with time ease in seeing the sequel…. With the fear of it tainting my memories. It’s sitting in front of me right now teasing me .. taunting me .. on HBO Max. Should I … ?
There’s now five books I think featuring the main protagonists with a good few spin offs focusing on individual characters as well.
Yeah Porno is a brilliant book inc. all the main characters plus it has the introduction of the legendary "Juice" Terry Lawson. Glue is also a fantastic read.

Unputdownable.
Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!
I’ve not seen either film for whatever reason I was too young when it come out so slipped past me.
But Underworld born slippy, that 1st minute and 15 seconds or so of the song really gets to me, I love the start of that song.
As others have said, you really must watch the original film at least. I also thought the sequel was well done. I would say it easily holds it own with the best of British films. No spoilers but it goes deep. Uneasy at times. Hilarious at others. Give it a try. It will be interesting to hear what you think coming at it later. It was very much a part of my life at that time.
"Look, I don't wanna be the same as everybody else. That's why I'm a Mod, see?"

Only read the original Trainspotting book, have not read the follow-ups, never seen the films. Enjoyed the gritty, realistic, tragi/humourous nature of the book, really must try the next one. Re the Trainspotting 2 film, my company had a depot near the film studio and had a kind request for a load of empty electrical Dyson vacuum boxes for a scene which we duly supplied. No idea if our boxes made the director's cut, whether they were background or knocked down in a chase scene or something.
