Being a native in and around Ibrox, you must knock about with Gers fans, what's the consensus on Garner?

Poll: Simpson - Keep, Sell or Loan

I'm about 25 miles from Ibrox by road and detach myself from Scottish football completely. I wouldn't watch Rangers or Celtic if they were playing in my back garden tbh.

But I'll text a few mates and let you know.

My Rangers season ticket holding mate is down from Glasgow this weekend, I'll ask and report back.

He's more me in thinking rather than board intellect Fergal Sharkey, so I might be able to provide a few lines rather than 3 words.

Whatsapp update:

Mate, he was the only player I wanted to keep this season out of the whole squad. He's missed a few probably should have scored more but he is absolutely fearless. I loved him. He wins 90% of headers and is never more than one tackle away from a red card. Hope he does well for town, he was unlucky with us.

it will be something like,

"hardworking, decent in the air, not a prolific goalscorer, a pain in the arse for defenders, gets booked a lot"

Just heard form my mate in Glasgow also on WhatsApp. He says ....

'Total pish. He'll entertain you though. He is really aggressive. He might be ok if you play 442. If he is up top by himself he is hopeless.'.

Different strokes, etc.

He also sent me this, 8,000 fans signing here, apparently.

Another text from a Rangers mate:

"I would bite yer hand off for a million. He constantly falls down looking for fouls. Good in the air but that's about it".

Every side needs a striker who can compete in the air. We've always had one even when playing the 'Ipswich way'.
