Best side on paper 23:02 - Sep 18 with 2111 views | Bluefish | Even more convinced that it is Holy Chambers Skuse Woolfenden KVY Garbutt Downes Huws Nolan Keane Norwood Norris Nsiala Georgiou Judge Jackson Dozzell Kenlock Bishop and Nydam to come in for Dozzell and Kenlock when fit. Lankester, El Mizouni and Dobra knocking on the door Edit: very harsh on Rowe but don't see how Edwards gets close to the side [Post edited 18 Sep 2019 23:04]

Best side on paper on 07:35 - Sep 19 with 1805 views | Superfrans | Keane needs to play a lot more games and prove his fitness until I would start him as a matter of course. Feel almost the same about Huws. We have superior personnel compared to most other teams in this division. What we need now is a settled side to work together, understand each others' games and show some more fluency and understanding. I'd be starting the following ongoing for the next 4/5, injuries permitting. Holy KVY Chambers Woolfenden Garbutt Downes Skuse Nolan Judge Norwood Jackson Norris Nsiala Kenlock Huws Georgiou Edwards Keane Dozzell is a conundrum. He simply hasn't shown enough to be among our first 18 at this stage. He's had a few opportunities, but hasn't come anywhere near taking them.

Best side on paper on 09:11 - Sep 19 with 1637 views | Kieran_Knows | It's a good question. It's a tough one trying to fit everyone in, but I'd hazard a guess at; -------------------------------- Holy ----------------Chambers -- Skuse -- Woolfenden KVY ------------------ Downes -- Huws/Nolan ------------------Garbutt ------------------------------- Judge ----------------------- Norwood -- Keane Norris Wilson Georgiou Dozzell Bishop Rowe/Edwards Jackson [Post edited 19 Sep 2019 9:23]

I think Nolan will get the nod in this formation for his closing and pressing. He did a really good job in the 1st half of shutting down the opposition high up the pitch, norwood also did and it pinned them back [Post edited 19 Sep 2019 9:25]

Bloody hell, how could I forget Nolan! Definitely tricky to pick the strongest 11.

Wasn't sure if you forgot or didn't rate him. It really is a tough choice and a lot of competition and this is with injuries to 3 players that would have been 1st choice last season

Best side on paper on 10:33 - Sep 19 with 1506 views | Bluebell | The jury is still out for me on Keane and Nolan. Nolan’s passing on Tuesday was not good a lot of the time and Keane has to start scoring to prove himself. I am looking forward to seeing Sears and Norwood up front. Huws, Garbutt and KVJ made all the difference at MK. It will be interesting to see the starting line up on Saturday. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Best side on paper on 12:42 - Sep 19 with 1351 views | clive_baker | Funny how Woolfenden and Nolan are regarded as nailed on starters now isn't it? What a difference 6 months makes. I don't disagree by the way, Nolan's a class act at this level, keeps the ball moving quickly and creates time and space for those around him. Woolfy's earned the right to start, and it's reassuring to have backups that have looked more than able when called upon. I'm still not sure what our preferred forward line should be, although I suspect Sears should be in it when fit. Perhaps Sears & Keane could work well together. It's a nice headache to have. I would love to see Judge and Dozzell get plenty of minutes too but again, it's a nice luxury to have those 2 on the bench. Perhaps its almost a blessing that Bishop and Lankester aren't fit as it would be a struggle to keep them all happy.

Just as the jury is still out re Judge for me (and that includes last season). If it's a team we're building towards, then his role needs tying down and the crossing left to those who are doing it better.
