Dont say this often ..... 15:37 - Aug 25 with 862 views | Pippin1970 | But I can see us in this league for quite a while. Its weird most Ipswich fans accept it now as we know financially wont be improved or a new manager.

Dont say this often ..... on 15:42 - Aug 25 with 789 views | WarkTheWarkITFC | Yeah. The last two games have really hammered home how poor we are at this level. Can see this being the table 1 / Sunderland 2 / Peterborough 3 / Spurs 4 / West Ham 5 / Lazio 6 / Oxford 7 / Real Madrid 8 / Fleetwood 9 / Villareal 10 / Juventus 11 / Man City 12 / Wolves 13 / Gillingham 14 / The other West Ham side 15 / ITFC women 16 / Achilles 17 / Panathinaikos 18 / Real Sociedad 19 / Plymouth 20 / Rochdale 21 / Seconds To Go 22 / Hull 23 / IPSWICH 24 / Harlem Globetrotters

Dont say this often ..... on 15:45 - Aug 25 with 735 views | Herbivore | It's. Only. Preseason. I don't have any faith in Lambert, but even with his ineptitude we should still have made the play offs at least and might have done it not for injuries. The squad is no worse now, arguably it's been improved by players coming back and a few new signings. If we ditch Lambert after a ropey start any new manager has plenty at his disposal to still get us out of this league.

I don't see how it has been improved. Ward isn't an upgrade on Garbutt, the fella from Portsmouth is he really an upgrade on Norwood? What about Cornell, he's looked about the same as Norris so far. It's the same. We're not very good and will finish roughly where we did this season.

As a left back, Ward is def an upgrade on Garbutt. Hawkins offers us a genuine 'presence' up front that we have been lacking. We might just be able to hold the ball up with him in there. Holy and Cornell as fine at this level in terms of keepers, no worse than Norris. That's three decent signings and, frankly, three more than I expected to see before shipping a few out.

Ward can defend and is a proper left back, Garbutt was never ever a defender. Our midfield should improve if we go for one of Downes, Huws and El-Mizouni. Add to that a 3 up front of Lankester, Jackson and Edwards and we will score goals.

Norwood is still here? We've got KVY and Lankester back having missed most of last season. Huws has actually stayed fit for some time and had a preseason, ditto Bishop. As a left back I make Ward an upgrade on Garbutt, I liked Garbutt as a footballer but he wasn't a great left back as he was defensively very weak.

Dont say this often ..... on 16:06 - Aug 25 with 556 views | Pippin1970 | I love the optimism and think it's great. The only downside is no way he will let Lambert go unless we in bottom 3 with potential relegation. His contract financially is a huge sticking point. Especially with Covid and no fans for a while etc.

Disagree on the PL contract. No way would Evans have a contract without a get out , he’s an astute businessman and protected himself with Hurst. In my view it is likely that Lambert has already activated a clause that says Evans can get rid at minimum cost as we didn’t make the play offs.,this would have been bare minimum criteria of success. Contract would have made no mention of covid . THerefore Lambert Is being given a last chance due to covid and the unusual end to last season and can go if and when. EVAns is giving him a little more time like usual. Needs a good start or bye bye.
