Poor show. Most of his passes last year were backwards or sideways. He was very slow and wasn't looking forwards. This season he's been excellent and people have said as much and have highlighted how good the pass was today. SB

Jon Nolan played today like a man we are always dream about signing but can never afford ! No wonder Evans punched the air when the 2nd went in. He was a completely different player. Today to anything we have seen in the past!

Too many people prepared to write off players too quickly. He was pedestrian in a pedestrian team that lacked shape, pattern and confidence. He was always underachieving given his previous form at Shrewsbury.

I think he seemed to grow during the first Bristol match. Initially sideways and backwards and then started to change his compass. A combination of a good team performance, the point made (by Coco I think) about the benefit of nothing negative from the stands and possibly seeing Dozzell in action too.

That's not how it works though. He had played 2 seasons and was pretty poor. You can't say someone is decent based on historical performances at another club. Players change. He's looking really good this season and is getting the credit he deserves thus far. Not really sure your dig was required. SB

Well quite. 2 seasons of mediocrity isn't really writing someone off too quickly. He has been excellent this season, no doubt, but criticism of him up to now has been fully understandable.

There have always been hints of ability and at times he’s looked good, rarely as good as this season so far. As importantly, for what we paid for Nolan and Toto we should have had decent Championship performances. If only MM had had that money to spend.
