The ST number seems low, although when you take into account lots of families go to games together it makes sense - I.e. a parent and two kids would knot need to redeem one pass for the game at home. Wonder if these stats will be widely published this season at all.

Seems like we can expect around £750k-£1m of revenue from this over the course of the season though which isn't insignificant (assuming around £2-3m from season ticket sales).

Actually, I don't know whether that's decent or not!!

As a non ST holder I've watched all but the Donny game. But......I have no kids to entertain, plus the weather has been almost exclusively dreadful on the day of each game so far, so it has been easy to just sit on the sofa and watch the game with a beer/coffee/tea/tin of pop depending on my mood.

I'd be happier to see us give more of our revenue to the oppo when we're playing clubs with smaller fanbases. Obviously our cost base is higher so accept we should still be making more from games based on having more fans but does seem a bit like the smaller teams are getting shafted. Likewise I think I’ll comfortably end up watching more games this season than I would have gone to in the flesh due to living away from Ipswich etc. I’d imagine people like me will almost balance out with people who can’t be bothered with the hassle of iFollow or have other commitments such as kids to entertain etc. I bet Soccer Saturday has taken a hit in viewers this year with much fewer Saturday PL games and lots of iFollowers for EFL games

I thought the home team keep the first 500 purchases by the away team but that doesn’t seem to be the case. It looks like each team is setting their own threshold. Against Us AS sold only 164 but received revenue for 58. Against Burton they sold 167 and 186 against Wimbledon but received nothing. Are we being more generous than some of these other clubs?

It’s different rules for league 1 and 2. Clubs set the away attendance based on last season and if it’s above that the away club get to pocket the difference. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Thanks for that, wasn’t aware of the differentiation. So that means we’re going to make less than previously expected for away matches as we generally had a large away following last year.
