Vardy - this stat is pretty incredible: 10:17 - Oct 26 with 1482 viewshomer_123

Vardy now has 109 Premier League goals, moving ahead of Peter Crouch and drawing level with Ryan Giggs. Not bad company for a man who only made his Football League debut at the age of 25.

Ah, but how many forward passes does he make in the final third?

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

His transformation has been incredible really

I can remember seeing him in the Championship and not being that wowed by him. I know Leicester paid a lot for him to pluck him out of the Non-League but clearly picked up the right man in fairness to them.

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Once you see a goalscorer you just need to play to his strengths and make sure he can get that yard of space. Confidence and coaching will then continue his development.

Honestly. Jackson for me could be our league 1 vardy. But we need to get him facing their goal. Not ours

I do agree we have never quite utilised Jackson's obvious strengths. If Bournemouth were interested in him, he can't be doing too badly. I'd imagine they were looking for a replacement for Callum Wilson?

Think is. He's a tidy finisher. Has pace to burn.
He also has his faults.. but we are sadly the wrong team for him imo.

There's a reason why he is League One but his pace is certainly a real asset

I suspect playing in the right system and getting his confidence up, will make a world of difference to his finishing ability.

He almost feels like our best striking option now, I really hope he can kick on this season.

On a side note I like Hawkins as an addition because he gives us a physical target option, something we were clearly lacking last year and have done since Murphy really. We haven't really ever replaced Murphy, that's been a big problem for us for a while.

We've got to imo get Hawkins and Jackson together.

3-5-2 or 4-4-2. But we've got to get them uptop as a two.

As a combo they could work quite nicely, the old Shefki Bent combination (hopefully)

Shefki despite his limitations was fairly mobile in fairness to him, I'm not convinced the Hawk has the same level of agility although is probably technically superior to Shefki

He played in most of Leicester's games during 14/15 in their first season back in the PL but only scored five goals.

Has done superbly in the scoring charts since then.

Really, we've just got to learn to play with one up front. We don't have any wing backs, we don't have any midfielders who can dominate in a 2-man midfield.

4-3-3 works fine with a striker who alternately runs the channels and sits on the shoulder of the last defender, if you get midfielders and wingers close to them. It works fine with a striker who holds the ball up... if you can get the midfielders and wingers close to them. If we're not good enough to play with either, realistically we're going nowhere.

For a man who’s 33 years old, he still looked as sharp as ever against Leeds United last night. Like a fine wine, he’s getting better with age.
