I can’t find it now but just seen this image on Twitter:

It’s stunning.

Both were very clear with the naked eye from London earlier.

I didn't get out early enough to get a view before it was too low on the horizon. Tomorrow is the big day but the weather isn't looking promising. That second image is stunning.

Thread was maybe this one?

The 21st December is a big night for those of us who like to take a gander at the stars. It will be a "Great Conjunction" of Saturn and Jupiter, something which hasn't happened in 400 years. They will be the closest they have been in the sky since 1623.

What this actually means that if you have good viewing conditions you'll be able to see Jupiter, it's moons and Saturn in the same view in your telescope:

Should be amazing, weather permitting.

Kicking myself for missing it at around 4pm tonight though.

Yes, not looking good for today unfortunately.

On a solar system-related note, I bumped into this yesterday which was also fantatastic:

Yes, it was. Thought it was yours but didn't go far enough back.

I'm glad I managed to see both yesterday, weather had been a bit rubbish Friday and Saturday. Today definitely isn't looking promising.
