I was surprised at how critical Radio Suffolk was last night 10:34 - Feb 17 with 1275 viewsHipsterectomy

After the game they made a joke about whether we would even hear from Lambert or if he’s “ off watching a dvd”. They apologised to callers for having to listen to it. Brenner’s questions were so tough that Lambert actually paused a few times in a “did you just ask that?” way before laughing it off. I don’t think I’ve ever heard them be so negative about any manager, or so collectively piling the misery on them.

How the fk can the club allow this shambles to continue?

Brenner said at HT “I’m tempted to boo myself”

during the game you could tell they wanted to say Lambert should be gone but they couldn't.

They did afterwards. Mick Mills was quite forthright on the matter.

There did seem to be a distinct sea-change in their stance. Openly mocking the team's performance during the match.

They were in great form and had me chuckling on more than one occasion which was welcome while enduring that debacle of a game.

There was also ...

Brenner ... 'Norwood's coming on. I wonder where he'll be playing.

Mick .... 'Who knows. At the back probably"

Nah Mills thinks Lambert should stay until the end of the season.

To be fair, that and the ref trying to nut Judge was the most exciting part of the game.

No he doesn't. He said he thinks he would still be here at the end of the season.

Their misery shtick was much more entertaining than Town't performance.

They were both certainly on form and it was more a bit of the fan type bias I like to hear.

Mills was complaining that 'anyone should have to sit through this' and was merrily taking the piss when the electronic scoreboard came out and how futile it was in an empty stadium.

Exactly, a lot of gallows humour last night. So disillusioned am I at the moment that last night was the first time I tuned in for weeks - the lack of crowd making it reminiscent of a Sunday morning on Bramford Lane rec - and towards the end, I was seriously considering referring Mills to the Samaritans.
