“ There are 10 games running out. We all know with contracts and situations managers can threaten you. My big threat to the players, let’s see what we’re really about in these last 10 games.”

You’ve got 10 games to play for your contracts.

Was also interesting his 'demand'

I wouldnt be surprised if over the next two games if it's not 6 points we may not see many of those involved in those games again

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Cook walk in the summer. We're a managers graveyard.

No chance.

He appreciates being given the opportunity to be ipswich town manager.

What he will be more annoyed about is the severe lack if professional players at this club.

Surely what's more bizarre is if players haven't already considered the realities of this as it is.

There will be an awful lot of out of work footballers this summer, so you would like to think the majority had enough self-awareness to consider they might be amongst them.

They are capable of putting in a shift and looking as if they want to win.

Whether they have the ability to get results is a different matter.

The players probably realise that Evans wont be giving him any money to spend so he's stuck with them

I think the major problem is , almost all these players actually believe they are far bigger than this Club. WRONG!

PC definitely good at saying things. Let's hope he's also good at managing and shows it sooner rather than later.

That's not critical thinking Dan as you know.

You can do better than that.

Don't get me wrong, we're all pissed off.

If most of them proceed to perform as they have done over the last couple of years, there won't be many extensions.

In all realism though, I suspect Cook has seen more than enough from most of them already and he is fairly clear how he will look to proceed. I suspect the demand is little more than a rallying call for the players to end the season with some level of respectability. There will be a lot of free agent footballers this summer though, so they're not doing themselves any favours in terms of finding new clubs which I suspect is more likely than most of them staying beyond this season.

Which is why large amounts of them are totally disinterested now. I don't think you can blame the manager entirely for that but they do appear totally deflated since he came in. He's been more Hurst than Mick so far.

That's not going to save anyone who's out of contract, is it?
