So the TWTD questionaire 08:46 - May 22 with 560 views | noggin | Who did you vote for favourite player of all time? It was difficult as I experienced the Robson era, but I went for Paul Mariner in the end. He was the player I pretended to be in the local park and we all love a goal scorer, don't we?

Pure electric when he did that.

Kind of depends what era you began supporting Town. I feel rather sorry for people who have only started their Town 'journey' this century - but recent favourites are no less favourites that rose-tinted memories of great players. I was lucky enough to see some of the Ramsey team from my milk crate.... even luckier to see the team Bill McGarry put together, let alone the Robson years. My somewhat irrational favourite is Danny Hegan - follwed by Ray Crawford - and Mauricio Taricco

He was opening a dog show in Ipswich and stayed on for the afternoon. I took his dog for a walk, sat and chatted then Mariner and Warky turned up. They didn't stay long but was introduced to them, got the autographs, and was just so so happy for ages afterwards.
