ITFC Women promoted to third tier 16:06 - Jun 2 with 1163 viewsSomethingBlue

Had to happen really and the correct decision has been made. Now a real chance for them to push on at pace.

Excellent news. Honestly, they've consistently been the best thing about ITFC for a while now.

Pronouns: He/Him/His. "Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."

Fantastic news, they now have the chance to become the pre-eminent club in the East of England for Woman’s football. With the new owners also taking a keen interest in that side of the club they may beat the men’s side to the PL.

Think they've got a decent chance of challenging next season, Southampton might be a notch ahead of them so it may take a couple of years but doubt they'll be at that level for too long. With the way the women's game is going it'll be worth the owners' while for them to build on this momentum too.

I think they will be competitive but your right Southampton look a very classy side. For the Women’s side the takeover is perfect timing and I’m hopeful the women’s side will be well funded as well. Am happy to be wrong but I can’t think of many sides at all near us who are operating at our new level or above ( West Ham maybe? )

Interesting to see how that develops under the new ownership too.

I’ve not heard them mention it specifically (unless I’ve missed it) but given how they’re about the community, how well the women’s team have done over the past few years & also the fact yanks are big on women’s football I’d be shocked if they don’t put emphasis on it.

Evans out

Blatant appeal for support for ITFC Women on 21:36 - Jun 2 with 737 viewsScottCandage

Now that the Women are in the 3rd tier, they're going to need more support from us. I'm sure the new owners will be funding them appropriately, but as always in the women's game, it never seems to be enough. However, we True Blues can help!

Join the True Blues (as I have for about 6 months now). Your monthly donations will be well appreciated (their outreach is outstanding, thanks Blue Wilson and Theo Benneworth).

I asked Mark Detmer in the podcast we did with him about the women's team and he said they would support it.

“Football’s for everyone. I think that that’s got to be a common theme and goal, not just in English football but global football.

“We’re very, very supportive of the women’s team and any way that we can help support their efforts I think we’re all in on.”
