Season ticket with kids 13:56 - Jun 7 with 937 viewsKungfuBlue

I've not held a season ticket since Magilton was manager, many reasons but mainly due to work and location.

This morning talking to my kids we decided to get one, me and the 2 youngsters (8yrs & 10yrs) I'm so excited I get to do this with them. I suspect 1 will drop out after a few trips but pretty sure my Girl has staying power and will continue the journey with me.

Never been to the football with my children only ever with mates which involved a lot of beer, I wonder what it will do to the spectacle staying sober and just watching it through my kids eyes.

You'll love it, I've taken mine a few times and they had a great time. Great to sit with someone who is just excited to be there in the stadium (at least to begin with!)

Poll: We recruit two strikers, one has to be Bonne or Wickham, who would you have?

Have they got Junior Blues memberships? That'd be a good starting point if not.

Make sure you make the most of fanzone, as even IF we have a bad game, the experience of the day itself should keep the children happy.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

Totally agree with Chris on this, probably because the results have been so bad recently, but kids seem to get more fun out of the fanzone than watching the game

I was obsessed with football as a kid, playing almost every night of the week and at weekends, but trips to football with my dad have always been special and memorable.

In recent years we've bought 3 season tickets between a group of 5 of us, which includes my dad, as we tended to find someone couldn't make some games, some preferred night games etc and we split the tickets fairly. That worked well but the way it worked out meant I didn't actually get that many games with my dad, and never just us 2.

This time around I'm getting me and my old man a ST each in the Cobbold upper. First time I've treated him to it too which is a nice feeling (I hope he doesn't catch on that it happens to coincide with him being 65...).

We won't get this time forever innit.

Good on you KungFu, they'll be precious memories especially if they get into it. Winning games helps that, so here's hoping.

I hear where you are coming from mate.

I've been a regular in the North Stand for about 30 years.

My lad is now 13 so can stand (sorry, sit) there with me for the first time and the torch can be passed on.

I am so so hapoy about this and I can't wait to tell him when he gets back from school.
