Ben White to replace TAA... 07:48 - Jun 7 with 1457 views | ITFCBlues | Thought he was excellent in yesterday's game. But got to feel for JWP.

Ben White to replace TAA... on 08:00 - Jun 7 with 1392 views | OsborneOneNil | He played well, but against nothing of much quality. Pretty amazed he isn’t taking JWP, especially after his performance.
Ben White to replace TAA... on 08:13 - Jun 7 with 1329 views | Chrisd | GS has issues in central defence, so can understand this selection. I know it won’t be popular, but Mings looks a real weak link in our defence if he starts next Sunday. I’m sure sides will target him. [Post edited 7 Jun 2021 8:18]

White can't play Left side though so highly unlikely he plays. Maybe switching to back 5...

Ben White to replace TAA... on 08:33 - Jun 7 with 1247 views | IpswichKnight | JWP is a dead ball specialist is he better than Rice, Bellingham, Grealish, Mount, Foden, Sancho, Stirling, Henderson and Rashford as they are the midfielders/ wide players and I don’t think he’s better than any of them.

He doesn't play in the same position as most of them! He's competing with Rice, Bellingham, Henderson and Phillips. I would have taken him over Phillips but with the extra players and Henderson's fitness doubts I'd have taken them both. With Grealish in the team winning free kicks as he does then having Europe's 2nd most prolific free kick taker (after Messi) would have been an advantage, but I guess Maguire's fitness issues are more serious so we need extra cover at centre back.... We could have perhaps taken him over Saka, who is a talented and versatile player, but is perhaps at least 3rd choice in every position he can play

Ben White to replace TAA... on 08:53 - Jun 7 with 1152 views | JackSted | Mings is awful, I can see him conceding a few pens if he goes to the Euros with the same attitude as the friendlies. As for Magure, he's injured so won't even be available for the group stage.

Ben White to replace TAA... on 09:22 - Jun 7 with 1012 views | Nazemariner | I guess that means Southgate is concerned by the fitness of Maguire, and the abilty and form of his remaining CB's. Considering our supposed strength from set peices, it suprises me that we don't have a dead ball specialist in the squad. Harry Kane on corners again i reckon :-) [Post edited 7 Jun 2021 9:25]

He looks like a mistake waiting to happen to me. Positionally he really is questionable and while his rise up the leagues has been great to see, I don't think he's international quality. Perhaps Gareth is hoping we can make do through the group with Stones + White / Coady / Mings, with a view to Maguire being fit for the knock outs, but it's far from ideal. If Stones gets injured we're a bit fooked.

Of course he isn’t better than them, that’s why he didn’t make the squad in the first place I’d have chosen JWP personally but ultimately the 26th player in our squad is should be irrelevant, as they should only be playing in the event of a dead rubber in the third group game [Post edited 7 Jun 2021 10:33]

Trippier? He was excellent at the last World Cup.
Ben White to replace TAA... on 12:27 - Jun 7 with 743 views | Sharkey | I'm not a huge user of Twitter, but one thing i do like about is the reminder of friendships between footballers you wouldn't probably associate. For example, Ben White and Frank Noublé, once team-mates for Newport. (Frank Noublé and loads of people, actually.) I specially like it when the bigger stars are happy when ex-team -mates are happy for old friends now playing at a much lower level of the game, - when they get fixed up with a new club in National League South, for example.
