we've done the job required, we have another 2/3 gears we could go up imo
Agree , we have got a couple of gears to move up but not sure we really know HOW which is my worry
If we play to our potential for the first time in this tournament , we'll beat the Germans - play like we did the second half against Czech Republic and we'll struggle massively I reckon
That said , I've said in another thread - 2001 was a long time ago and we're due one over the Germans

Thing we might need a full blown turbo or nitrous boost.
Far too pedestrian with slow passing and minimal urgency.
At what point do you stop ‘doing a job’ and play exciting and enjoyable football? Qualifying, tournament group stages, knockout phase, semifinals, finals?
At least watching town for the past few years has been good preparation for watching England…

So are we not creating chances from open play to fool people then?
I think we are playing the way we are set out to play. We might have enough to get past Germany but we need to play better.
It's Germany, that comes with our own demons. They still have some very fine players, they don't quite look at it as a team or know how they want to play but anyone thinking it's going to be a walk in the park are deluded.

we probably are playing as we are set up to do, that's not to say we don't have more in the locker to call on, and utilise. im drawing only on the positives, no goals conceded, and I saw the defence as our weakest position. I think we can take it up a notch or two with the inclusion of different personal, whether that be off the bench, or starting.
im excited for the game, will be a battle, but I think we'll beat them
