Got a fair bit of weeding to do in one bed which leaves do space between the herbs and spinach.

They are yes, but your local rabbits etc will love them. I’d grow some beetroot.

Leeks for overwintering. And if spring onions aren't in your salad-dodging category (can be used in stir-fries, sarnies etc.) it's not too late to sow & plant them, they also grow v. quickly. Some seedling plugs might even still be available via online shopping.
