Credit where credit's due.

He's come out and solidly backed Cook.

He didn't really want to come here, but he's done the right thing there.

I really, really, really want Cook to succeed. He's made a total pig's ear of it so far but I want him to turn it around. I just can't take another manager coming in and promising the moon on a stick and delivering a turd on a stick.

Get a no2. Get a defensive coach. Get the team performing to their supposed ability and the fans will love you for it.

I think that's it. So many so dearly want to love Cook, not hate him for being more of the same old same old. He can do it. But he has to start now or never.

I remember Portsmouth and Wigan fans telling us about barren spells under Cook when he was with them, but then things started to click and they went on winning streaks. We certainly have the players to turn it around so hopefully history will repeat itself.

Ready! Steady! Cook!

Indeed, that's exactly what happened. Wigan ended up being the form side in the league above for the second half of the season.

I think it would be madness to change managers again so soon. Cook has a proven record and you just feel that at some point he will get this squad ticking. But he does need to give us something to sing about very soon or else I fear the despondancy experienced by the fans will spread to the squad like a malignant tumour.

A very positive and reassuring interview by Morsy. I like the cut of his jib. Definite captain material.

Let’s hope he’s right and results start to improve very soon.

Indeed, what part of "time, patience and long term" do some people not understand?

If this was happening in the champ before Hurst and Lambert. I think you'd see a lot more patience.

However since those days.. we've seen things not quite go to plan after a really bad start.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.
