Same rules in the entire FA cup as a competition (except the extra qualifying round where there were no replays).

With the lack of pre season and how last season tailed off they wanted teams to be able to rotate players and avoid injuries/build fitness.

The growth of numbers of players on the bench & subs allowed is ridiculous & clearly benefits the biggest clubs. The original point of subs was to replace injured players, which is right. I would go back to a maximum of 5 players on the bench & only 3 subs allowed during a game, with an exception for concussion.

Indeed, and as seen in our game yesterday. While Cook was able to choose from nine experienced subs, Oldham could only name seven, three of whom were 17-year-olds.
