Compliment to town 16:58 - Nov 13 with 1378 views | chrismakin | The way Oxford have wasted time this game All in all, solid point against the top form side of the league. Could have probably done more, but really pleased with the cleansheet [Post edited 13 Nov 2021 17:03]

We were well on top and I understand the reasons for making them but it allowed Oxford to reset and the game petered out. Oxford definitely tried to play out time at the end - some proper rubbish going on there. SB

Aluko for Burns was exactly the right substitution but it should have been Chaplin for Celina, not Edwards. Yes, Edwards’ final ball was poor but he was at least giving them something to think about and brought other players into the game. For the most part, Oxford could sit back and wait for Celina to pass it back to them.

Celina was playing pretty well and looked threatening. It's interesting how Celina tends to get singled out all the time. Both Burns and Edwards were doing less but you've missed my whole point. My point is the team were playing well as a unit and the substitutions messed that up. As I said, I understand why they were made but the end result was a disjointed team who lost all the momentum. SB, would you agree that Celina should have come over to the left and Chaplin centre, would that possibly have made a positive difference rather than the negative we got by taking off edwards. It's concerning that taking off edwards had that effect when we can't get anything positive from his runs.

We lost momentum because we took a winger off and replaced him with a number ten; it ruined the balance of the team. Other than hit the post, Celina did very little with the defence splitting balls which should be his bread the butter. The one to an open Bonne in the middle of the box... there was another one where he passed straight to a centre back where better options were available.

Everyone of their players had words with the ref - moaning! Their no 8 already booked also was pointing at the ref almost manhandling him!’
