Brentford are keeping their kits for next season - we should do the same. 13:42 - Nov 25 with 871 viewsBonneNIL

I just read that Brentford has decided to stop changing kits every season-ending the 2 or 3 new kits a year madness that has been going on from most clubs over the last decade. It's absolutely wasteful during a climate crisis and represents much better value for money for supporters. Huge credit to Brentford, they are a great club. I am glad someone finally did it.

I hope we do the same, the current strip is nice, and last season the light away kit, which we triumphed as eco-friendly barely saw the light of day (no pun intended) because it had too much blue on it, making it a bit of a joke. So Gamechanger if you see this, take note and join Brentford in putting a stop to the wasteful madness! Alternate the changes and introduce a third kit if it's necessary for income.

Just out of interest, what kit will we use when we play Sheffield Wednesday away as don't both home and away clash with their home kits?

While I agree, supporters could just save money by not buying the new kit every year.

It’ll probably be the tractorlona kit that will never die. Or a special edition third kit released in time for Christmas

Totally agree but wasn't the sponsorship deal with our Ed only for 12 months meaning those who like attention to detail would still change the shirt if the sponsor changed ?

It’s a much easier decision for a club to make when they are awash with Premiership money

I'd love to see this happen, but can't see it due to the income streams clubs are used to.

Yet again, Brentford trailblazing.

I've never understood why all football clubs moved away from changing the kit every other year and alternating between home and away kits on a yearly basis.

I'd be very happy to go back to that.
