I've seen quite a few people describe Coulson as injury prone. Two quite different injuries in a short period of time is just unlucky for me. He was only out for quite a short period for the first one. If his second one had led to a similiar recovery time would he still have been 'injury prone'. It's the fact that the second one was more serious and has led to him being out for a while that has got him labelled this way.
For me 'injury prone' is a player who keeps getting the same injury or picks up multiple injuries over multiple seasons |  |

Yeah - fans are quick to label players as sicknotes or injury prone. I have no idea what Coulsen's injury record was like at Boro - but there isn't enough evidence to label him that from his time here. He's just 'injured'. |  |

Not aimed at OP, but I really dislike the negativity that seems to flow from fans towards players with repeated injuries. It's not as if they're choosing in this day and age to remain injured, they don't lead their own rehab or run the S&C sessions. I know it's borne of frustration more than anything, but with countless players opening up about the mental struggle of being excluded for lengthy periods, it rankles.
What's more, is that injuries often precipitate injuries. Until you have absolute confidence in a healed injury, you're always going to subconsciously compensate to try to protect it.

Totally agree. It is frustrating, particularly when finances are tight, if you are losing a player regularly to injruies, but it can't help things for them when they are trying to come back. Was at the game that Coulson picked up his second injury and he defintely wasn't pulling out of things. Hopefully he'll show what he can do in the run in | |
