Direction indicating dog lights 21:24 - Feb 7 with 956 views

Since when have they been a thing?

Last couple of months I have noticed that some cars have fog lights that indicate the direction a steering wheel is pointing. At least that's the best way I can explain it.
Tonight my daughter finally noticed it also.

I had noticed the car ones a while ago.

Unfortunately many drivers appear to think they have replaced indicators.

Renault have had them for years , fog lights with a cornering function that is. Come when travelling below 25mph.

I was a bit puzzled until I realised there was a typo in the title.

I agree about indicators use, or lack thereof.

Should really have clarified - when steering straight, no fog lights are on (a miracle in itself these days), only 1 light comes on when steering wheel turned, that being the one indicating direction.

As one board absentee WhatsApp'd me this morning 1955 Citroen DS had swelling headlights, as does my current car. If had been both fogs I'd probably not noticed.
