She surely can't be this thick? on 10:48 - Feb 10 with 1512 views | Cotty | "Cutting through EU red tape" was the absolute worst argument for Brexit, because it delivers exactly the opposite. THAT'S THE ENTIRE POINT OF A TRADE DEAL YOU WALLIES. And this is what happens when you tear one up.
She surely can't be this thick? on 10:58 - Feb 10 with 1446 views | MattinLondon | UK votes to leave the EU….yey democracy. UK isn’t to be part of the single market…yey global UK. UK no longer supporting free movement…yey getting back control. UK being treated like a third country with all the checks and paperwork that brings…..no, it’s not our fault, that’s Brussels being nasty to us and nothing to do with Brexit. Idiots.

Yes, but the football is better now.

*It is someone else's fault if you are rich, white and heterosexual. And preferably a bloke. Terms and conditions may apply to people not fitting these criteria regarding it being 'someone else's fault'.

Exactly. And typically for this Government, the resultant mess is someone else’s fault, they seamlessly backtrack on environmental commitment by saying they’ll build a road that’s only purpose will be to absorb the mess they have created, and guess what, assuming that they actually build the aforementioned otherwise unnecessary road it will be at UK tax payers expense! Watch this space, I’m waiting for Rees -Mogg to come over all Trumpian and tell the rabid Brexiteers that he’s going to make the EU pay for the road. Wallies indeed. [Post edited 10 Feb 2022 11:16]

Trying to point out to the thick that one of the main purposes of the ET was to 'cit red tape' - to make trade simpler and quicker. It meant that you could trade with France as easy as trading with Essex (almost). Unfortunately the incredible stupid had been fed a diet of lies and misinformation that had the EU as some North Korean style authoritarian state. Dominating and controlling the poor beleaguered UK. The US has the same view about the NHS whereby the state rules on who can be treated, or not. Whereas they are free to pay for whatever healthcare they wish. The reality in both cases is far, far different. So staying with the need for the slow witted to have an enemy responsible for all their woes, the EU is at fault. Not the UK for ripping up all the benefits that came with free trade. Not the UK which intentionally put itself outside of a free trade zone. No, blame the EU for applying regulation the UK agreed to when it was in the EU. Blame the EU as it's workers cannot get into the UK. Blame the EU as UK firms now relocate to the EU so as to have access to those workers, and can trade freely. None of this is unexpected - nor has turned out to be what those wanting to stay fore told through some kind of Mystic Meg prophecy. No. it is no more than someone telling you if you do not renew your ST, you will not be able to sit in your seat at PR. Just how stupid would you have to be to imagine that if this was Old Trafford you could (once you had stopped your ST), buy a ticket to any game, sit any where you wanted to and still pay far less than you would with a ST.
