Did you watch the fight last night. Probably the worst judging I have ever seen and makes you wonder how two of the judges came to their decisions. Catterall beat Taylor by an absolute mile and should be world champion this morning. Victor Loughlin and Ian John Lewis should never officiate a boxing match again. Something definitely dodgy there and it needs investigating. Even Taylor's corner said to him he needed a knockout going into the last round. |  | | |  |

Nelson said it on commentary and was spot on. Its that kind of decision that puts casual fans off and does serious damage to the sport. Most people (myself included) are probably casual fans, follow the big fights, occasional cards like last night, but that result just leaves me thinking what's the point watching it. |  | | |

Watched it, thought it was a close fight but Cattrall certainly won it for me. For 1 judge to have Taylor by 3 rounds after the knockdown is unfathomable.

An atrocious decision and an example of what gives boxing a bad name. Hopefully, Josh Taylor gives Jack Catterall a rematch because that must feel like a very hollow victory for the Scotsman. When all in sundry - ex and current professionals, boxing pundits and fans are saying Catterall was the deserved winner, that speaks volumes. I hope the boxing authorities get those judges together to rewatch the fight and explain how and why they scored each round the way they did. That was truly woeful. [Post edited 28 Feb 2022 8:51]

It would be a pity, but I suppose it's not Josh Taylor's fault more the fact you've got 3 incompetent judges that have had a huge impact on someone else's career which is hard to take. | |
