Has spoken to him after the game and admitted the linesman got the offside wrong, but he couldn’t overrule him from what he could see.
Also thought it was a penalty but didn’t have best view so asked lino and they said they weren’t sure as they were looking for the offside line.

When the shot was taken we had a player in an offside position who played no part in the ball ending up in the goal. Old school offside but these days?
I wonder what the lino said about the handball (hands way above the player's head when struck by the ball)? Not so concerned about whether that was inside the area or not but it was a clear offence.
Of course these things are all academic as our pedestrian play (for us of late) in the first half seemed to dictate how the game would go. |  |
