When I worked for Lloyds Bank in one of the northern regions a memo arrived on April 1st regarding the issue of 'Staff Fitness"
It detailed how staff would be expected to jog round the around of the branch for 20 minutes each morning, lead by the manager, in single file and in strict order of staff seniority.
It ended ny saying that staff would be allowed to shower afterwards but it was hoped that staff would understanding that in many branches where space was limited showering would-be on a 'mixed' basis.
Despite the memo also be dated April 1st there were reports of people resigning
As a kid I dressed for school, rolled my trousers up and put dressing gown on, went down stairs at the last minute when I was supposed to be leaving. Mum went mad at me and took quite a while to calm down when I removed the dressing gown.
