Rewarding players who are doing well for us 13:59 - May 18 with 919 viewsHipsterectomy

We’ve done it in the past with players like Bart and McGoldrick, but I can’t remember us rewarding so many players at once with new deals. Hopefully this shows new signings that they’ll be rightly rewarded if they sign and do well for us.

It’s like we’re acting as a proper professionally run football club. It’s refreshing to see.

I try to resist Cook bashing as best I can - but he had many of us questioning Woolfenden and Jackson's ability this season... maybe Cook deserves the 'dinosour' title

Not only rewarding players, but protecting our assets, and keeping the negotiation power on our side of the deal.

Not sure we've offered contracts during the season, I can't recall many stories along those lines. I'm guessing the change of manager midway through the season and the uncertainty regarding the divisional status may have pushed back decisions which would have been made earlier on in the season previously.

Yes, he did his best but maybe he does. His approach was crude and that’s being polite.

McKenna certainly seems to be getting more out of certain players than Cook ever did.

Maybe it's blind optimism, but the club seems far more professional and clear in what it’s doing than it’s done in years. All good.

But a bit smarmy, though.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

By contrast, he also has us thinking Bonne was a world beater
